INVITATION TO MEDITATION

I keep returning to this subject because I understand how long it can take to commit to the practice of meditation.  It took me months to quiet my mind.  I encourage you to try it and just see how it goes, please don’t judge yourself. Keep trying because you are deserving of peace and happiness in your life.

Meditation is a very powerful practice to rest and reset the mind; it takes commitment and practice because the mind typically won’t shut off.  Our society is crazy busy and so the “Monkey brain” is in constant chatter.   It takes practice to quiet the mind.  But it’s the gateway for mental health and connection to  Divine Spirit.  Continuous thoughts flood our mind until we decide to learn to let go and “empty” the mind for a few minutes.  This is a HUGE stress reliever.    If practiced for 15-30 minutes every morning or evening it can make a positive impact on your life and mindset. 

Guided meditation is usually easier when you first start.  Later you can try focusing on solfeggio tones, white noise, like air conditioning, when you are alone and uninterrupted.  Search Youtube to find meditations that you really like.
