ADAPTOGENS (part 2)

When the body is stressed it releases cortisol from the adrenal glands which leads to weight gain and mood swings. The body starts to get diseased; organs encounter issues.  Adaptogens are natural healing substances/herbs that can be taken for a period of 7-30 days, depending on the extent of the health issue. (12)

 The body needs periodic breaks or rotating of product based on personal needs, in order not to build a “tolerance”.  Examples of adaptogens:

 

Rhodiola:  can helps with physical stress, supports nervous system, immunity, and increases energy.

Ashwaganda: can be an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant for the brain.  (13)

Holy basil:(Tulsi) can regulates blood sugar, cholesterol, triglycerides, is anti-inflammatory.

Schisanda:  can help support adrenal glands, stamina.

Ginseng: can improves energy, decreases anxiety.

Eleuthero: (Siberian ginseng) anti-stress, anti-inflammatory.

Cordyceps: helps with fatigue, tinnitus, frequent urination, memory loss, its’s good for old people!

Bacopa:  helps with depression.  (14)
