HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS

Apple Cider Vinegar: If you suffer from Gastroesophageal reflux, apple cider vinegar can be helpful.  You can take 1 tbsp in water a day for 7 to 10 days.  Pay attention to how you feel.  It can help with weight loss.

 

Increase water intake:  Seventy (70%) of your body weight is water.  Men: can drink 15 cups, women 11 cups, or the old saying:  8 glasses a day is a good guide too. Everyone has slightly different needs.

 

 Decrease or eliminate soda, sugar, carbs (breads/pasta), high fructose corn syrup (ketchup) package foods, canned goods.  You’ll be amazed how much better you feel when you eat fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats, and some grains.  

  

Decreasing or eliminating gluten and dairy: (flour, wheat in breads and pastas) As people age, the carbohydrate requirement is frequently lower, unless the person is a physically active individual. One cup of food might be enough to nourish the body instead of an entire plate full.  Food intolerant can begin and awareness of a positive change in diet is important, so take the time to make small changes to feel better.  This can make a big difference in how you feel.  Limiting dairy products can help reduce mucus production, nasal congestion and GI distress in some people.
