WRITE A LETTER, LET IT OUT, THEN BURN IT (or Trash It)

If you feel negative feelings towards anyone or something from a past “hurt”, resurfacing or if you need to get something off your chest from the past ,write it down then let go of that negative emotion. If you feel that digging up old feelings will just re-injure or hurt the other person, just write a letter about the past situation.  Express your feelings.    Then burn or trash the letter, never give it to the person.  This is about your healing and making space for good energy.   Of course you need to allow the forgiveness or acceptance process, then release it.   If you feel you need to confront the person, this takes courage to initiate a compassionate honest communication.  As long as you make the effort toward forgiveness, you have made a sincere effort. Try to see both sides of the situation.  Even if the other person doesn’t forgive you or accept your apology, you know that you have made the effort to be a better person.  Your attempt to reconcile is all that matters.  Make peace with your effort, regardless of outcome.  Just know you did your best then move on.
